Aim Development of partnership between Ukrainian and European non-profit organizations dealing with HIV infected prisoners. Implementation of effective international strategies, standards and approaches to HIV prevention in Ukrainian prisons.
Target group Prisoners (primarily HIV infected prisoners), injective drug users, representatives of sex minorities, NGO and staff working in prisons of 5 regions in Ukraine (Mykolaiv, Kherson, Odesa, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv).

Training of Ukrainian non-profit and governmental organization staff was carried out by Dutch experts. Technologies taught by Dutch experts should raise professional level of staff working in penal settings. Informational support of prisoners and staff of penal settings. Development and distribution of publications “Information on HIV/AIDS”, and “Prevention of professional HIV contamination”. In Lviv, the project was conducted in isolation ward ą19 by Salus outreach workers visiting prisoners weekly.
