MOON LIGHT - HARM REDUCTION PROGRAM FOR SEX WORKERS USING INJECTIVE DRUGS Project start: 2001
Partner: the Open Society Institute

The project is supported by the Open Society Institute. It has started in January 2001. It is planned to develop HIV prevention activity among the sex workers-drug users, to provide them with syringes, needles, condoms and lubricants, to publish the information leaflets about the STIs and AIDS, to ensure the access to medical and social services.

Services provided:
  • consultation of gynecologist, dermatologist and genito-urinary physytian
  • pre- and after- testing councelling regarding HIV/AIDS
  • diagnostics and treatment of STI's
  • syringe exchange
  • distribution of desinfectants, condoms and lubricants
  • informational services
  • outreach work
Target groups:
  • representatives of commercial sex business,
  • injective drugs users

The harm reduction project within non-formal youth Project start: 2001
Partner: Scientific Medical-Diagnostic center ASTAR
Target groups:
  • the non-formal youth (hippie, panky, rockers etc.) in unofficial summer camps
Services provided:
  • syringes exchange
  • distribution of the informational materials
  • distribution of the condoms, disinfectants and lubricants
  • outreach work
  • education on safe sex
  • providing with hygienical items and first aid kits
