Partners Freedom House under the Polish-American-Ukrainian program PAUCI, Tada - NGO dealing with target groups in the field of HIV/AIDS and STI prevention, NGO "Youth Center of Women Initiatives" Sevastopol, Regional Organization for Support of HIV- infected, Donetsk
Aim To improve the professional qualification of teachers, medical and social workers and to provide prevention programs among young people and risk groups in Lviv, Donetsk and Sevastopol. Grantees adapted successful models and learned the methodology of developing preventive programs for young people and at-risk groups (commercial sex workers, drug users, gays, lesbians). The project activities were developed to address details regarding the spread of viruses and make informational resources and services available in each of the regions.
Target group teachers and social workers (Lviv); outreach workers (Donetsk), social and medical workers (Sevastopol).
  • Establishment of an HIV/AIDS information centre with library and video collection.
  • Organization of round tables and trainings.
  • Brochure and 8 booklets about STIs.
  • Visual aids for high-risk groups
